A sandbox testing process designed to verify the technical integration, functionality, and security of the online payment gateway. It simulates various payment scenarios—including successful transactions, declined cards, and error responses—using dummy test data. This ensures that the system responds correctly, securely encrypts data, and automatically updates order statuses on the e-commerce platform without processing any real financial charges.

1.Enable Test Mode in Shopify:Crucial to prevent real charges.

From your Shopify admin panel, navigate to Settings > Payments. Find your Paymob integration (often managed via the UnumPay app) and click Manage. Check the Enable test mode box and ensure your Paymob API Key, HMAC, and Integration ID are set to your sandbox credentials. Save the configuration.
2.Place a Test Order:

Go to the Amanco storefront, add a safe to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Select the debit/credit card payment option powered by Paymob.
3.Simulate Transactions:

Instead of real credit card details, input test cards to trigger specific gateway responses. Use any future expiration date (e.g., 12/30) and any valid 3-digit CVV (or 4 digits for Amex).
4.Verify the Outcomes:

Check that successful transactions redirect you to the order confirmation page and appear in your Shopify admin as paid (with a test mode banner). For declined cards, ensure the checkout displays a clear error message. Finally, check your Paymob dashboard to confirm the test transactions are logged correctly.
